You've got the hardware. Now let's maximize your results. Follow these steps to install your products and train your team.

1. Installation & Placement

The Stand
A

Countertop Placement

  • High Visibility: Place it right next to your POS system or payment terminal. Ideally within 30 cm of where the customer stands.
  • Subtle: With a small form factor, the stand is ideal for smaller counter tops with a minimalistic design to keep it subtle and not distracting to your customers.
  • Unobstructed: Ensure metal objects (like staplers) is not blocking the face of the stand otherwise the NFC will not work.
  • Orientation: Face it directly towards the customer at eye/hand level.
The Plate

Adhesive Application

  • Not Metal: Make sure the plate is not adhered to a metal surface otherwise it will interfere with the NFC capability. Best to test surface area with the plate before removing the 3M sticker backing.
  • Clean Surface: Use an alcohol wipe to clean the surface (table, wall, mirror) and let it dry completely.
  • Peel & Stick: Remove the 3M backing. Press firmly for 30 seconds.
  • Wait: Allow 30 minutes for the adhesive to cure before encouraging customers to tap aggressively.

2. How to Tap

Not all phones are the same. Educate your staff on these sweet spots to ensure a 100% success rate.

Important Prerequisites:

  • The customer's phone must be unlocked.
  • They must be logged into their Google Account (otherwise they will be prompted to sign in first).
iPhone

Top Back Edge

Tap the very top edge of the iPhone (near the camera) against the Mor logo.

Most Common Mistake: Tapping the middle.
Android

Middle Center

Tap the center back of the phone. Android NFC readers are typically located in the middle.

Note: Ensure NFC setting is ON.

Older phone? Simply point the camera at the QR code on the stand/plate. It works 100% of the time.

3. The Approach

Hardware is only half the battle. The "Ask" is the other half. Train your team to use this simple script.

Ask right after a positive interaction or payment.

2. Ease

Emphasize "quick" and "tap". Make it sound effortless.

3. Local

Mentioning "local business" increases compliance by 30%.
